Why does my reward code not work?
Check the code, activation date, expiry and claim history before retrying a reward claim.
Check four things first: whether you entered the correct code, whether the offer has started, whether it has expired and whether your account already claimed it. Different programs use different rules, so read the error and the original conditions before trying repeatedly.
Check the source and timing
Copy the code from the original publication and look for missing characters or accidental spaces. Confirm which platform and activity it belongs to. A code circulated elsewhere may refer to an old offer, and its appearance in a message does not prove that the original campaign remains active.
Next, check the publication and expiry information. A scheduled activity may exist before claims open. Once the valid period has ended, a code can remain recognizable without accepting new claims.
What the messages mean in Onbely Verse
- Incorrect or nonexistent code: no matching claimable mission was identified for that pathway.
- Mission not active yet: the mission has not opened for claims.
- Expired mission: the claim period has ended or administration expired the mission.
- Reward already claimed: your account has already received this mission’s reward.
A citizen mission uses one shared code, distributed outside the mission card. Different eligible citizens can use it while the mission is active, but each account can claim the mission only once. A valid claim adds the defined OVC amount to the account and records completion and citizen progress.
OVC is an internal utility rather than money. Re-entering a successful code does not add another reward. Creator campaigns belong to their own approved creator pathway; their codes are not ordinary citizen mission codes.
Keep enough information to explain a problem
Review your activity history before retrying. If the outcome remains unclear, retain the mission name, approximate time and exact error without exposing credentials or private account data in public comments.
Open the citizen dashboard. Which error message would be easier to understand with a clearer explanation?
